Indiana(9-8) rolled out to a 20-7 advantage in the first four minutes of the contest and led 38-33 after the first quarter. The Pacers had a 10-5 spurt to begin the second quarter and were up 73-64 at halftime. It was the most points allowed by the Heat in the first half this season.
Miami(11-8) got a 16-9 spurt to begin the second half and cut the deficit to 82-80 at the 7:59 mark. Indiana still remained ahead 100-97 at the end of the third quarter. The Heat came out with a 26-9 run to start the fourth quarter and pulled ahead 123-109 with 4:31 left.
Jimmy Butler led Miami with a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds. Duncan Robinson contributed 16 points and Kyle Lowry added 15 points. The Heat had bench scoring from Jaime Jaquez Jr. with 24 points and Josh Richardson with 18 points. Tyrese Haliburton had a game-high 44 points and 10 assists for the Pacers.
