The Heat was able to snap a four-game losing streak. They will host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night for their next game.
Both teams were tied 34-34 at the end of one quarter. Miami(2-4) held a 60-54 advantage at halftime. The Heat extended their lead to 101-81 at the end of the third quarter. Washington(1-4) did outscore the Heat 33-20 in the final frame.
Tyler Herro compiled a double-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for Miami. Jimmy Butler added 20 points and seven rebounds. Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson both had 18 points each.
Kyle Kozma led the Wizards with a team-high 22 points. Jordan Poole dropped in 19 points while Deni Avdija contributed 14 points.
