Brewers Shut Out Marlins

    The Miami Marlins were blanked by the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 on Friday night at Miller Park. It was the first game for the Fish since the all-star break as they have now lost seven of their last ten games.
    Jacob Turner started for Miami(35-59), allowed two runs on five hits and struck out six in five innings. His record dropped to 3-2 this season. Brewers starting pitcher Kyle Lohse went six innings and gave up no runs on five hits to raise his record to 6-7. He was 3-0 against the Marlins last year when he hurled for the St. Louis Cardinals.
    Juan Francisco gave Milwaukee(39-56) the lead during the fourth inning. He hit a lead-off homer on a 3-2 pitch to left field for his 12th home run this year. Carlos Gomez cracked a solo home run to left field on a 0-2 count with two out in the bottom of the fifth for his 15th round-tripper of 2013.
