The Florida Panthers added more players to their roster as they have signed center Jesse Winchester and defenseman Mike Mottau to one-year deals. Both players will give the club additional depth in both positions.
Winchester played with Jokerit of Finland during the 2012-13 season. He played with the Ottawa Senators for five seasons and compiled 11 goals with 41 assists in 233 NHL games.
Mottau played for the Florida Panthers AHL affiliate San Antonio last season until the NHL lockout ended in January. He had seven assists in 16 games with the club. Mottau then signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs AHL team the Toronto Marlies and had seven assists in 18 games. He has seven goals and 51 assists in 313 NHL games.
