Dodgers Edge Fish

The Miami Marlins fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-4 at Marlins Park on Tuesday night. The loss stopped a two-game win streak by the Fish while the Dodgers ended a two-game losing streak.
In the first inning, Miami(48-76) jumped out to a 1-0 lead against Chris Capuano. Christian Yelich led off with a double to left field and advanced to third on a ground out by Donovan Solano. Giancarlo Stanton drove Yelich in on a ground out to second.
Los Angeles(73-52) pounded the Marlins and pitcher Jacob Turner as they pushed across four runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Dodgers loaded the bases with two outs when Carl Crawford came to bat. He got on base with an infield single as Andre Ethier crossed the plate. Mark Ellis then picked up an infield single with Tim Federowicz scoring. Adeiny Hechavarria made a throwing error on the play and Capuano also scored. Adrian Gonzalez knocked in Crawford with a single into right field.
The Marlins were able to get the bases loaded with none out in the bottom of the fourth. Justin Ruggiano prevented a double play when he beat out a infield ground ball for Stanton to score. Hechavarria followed with a base hit into left field as Logan Morrison scored from third as Miami closed the margin to 4-3.
The Fish tied the game at 4-4 during the sixth inning against Dodgers reliever Brandon League. Ruggiano sliced a single into center field with one out and Hechavarria walked. Ruggiano scored on a base hit by Jeff Mathis to left field.
Dodgers rookie phenom Yusiel Puig blasted a solo home run to left-center field with no out on the first pitch that Dan Jennings threw for his 12th homer of the season.
Former Marlin Hanley Ramirez started the ninth inning for Los Angeles with a double into deep left field. Three batters later, he scored from third with two out on a single by Federowicz to the left side to make it 6-4.
