Wesley Carroll worked his first game as a game analyst for the South Florida High School Football Show game broadcast on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM. Alongside play-by-play announcer Mike Levine, they both called the St. Thomas Aquinas and Northwestern game at Sun Life Stadium on Saturday night.
Carroll was the starting quarterback with St. Thomas Aquinas from 2004 until 2006. They lost the FHSAA Class 5A state championship game three consecutive years to the Lakeland Dreadnaughts. He attended Mississippi State University and helped the school win a bowl game as a freshman as they captured the 2007 Liberty Bowl in Memphis. Carroll transferred from MSU following the 2008 season when he lost the starting quarterback job.
He arrived at Florida International University in 2009 and had to sit out for one season due to the transfer. In his junior year, he led FIU to their first bowl game and bowl victory in school history during 2010 as they won the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit.
