Longtime sportswriter Manny Navarro has left the Miami Herald. He has worked at that newspaper for the past 23 years. Navarro was recently the Miami Heat beat writer at the Miami Herald. He had a long reign covering high school sports in Dade County and Broward County.
Andre Fernandez is also leaving the sports department at the Miami Herald. He was the lead high school sports reporter at the newspaper until earlier this year. Fernandez had branched out recently to cover the Miami Marlins, Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins and University of Miami Hurricanes.
