A doubleheader on Wednesday was regulated to a single game as the New York Mets blasted the Miami Marlins 13-0 at Citi Field on Wednesday night. The first game was supposed to start at 4:10 PM and did not due to a weather delay. The contest did not begin until 9:45 PM., which was almost a six-hour wait. The second game was postponed and moved to Thursday for another doubleheader between both clubs to begin at 3:10 PM.
New York(66-78) compiled three runs in the second inning and fourth inning. Miami(57-87) surrendered seven more runs during the bottom of the seventh.
