The Palm Beach Lakes Rams travel five miles north on Military Trail and face the Palm Beach Gardens Gators on Friday night at Mullinax Ford Stadium. Both schools will be playing in the FHSAA playoffs next week.
Palm Beach Lakes(8-0) is the only undefeated team in Palm Beach County. The Rams are currently the top playoff seed for Class 7A in Region 3 and have outscored their opponents 324-102 this season. They handled Martin County 53-23 last week. Look for running back Antonio Outler to get the majority of rushing attempts. Quarterback Tre'von Taylor can connect passes to wide receiver Jalen Jones.
Palm Beach Gardens(7-1) had their winning streak snapped as they fell in the District 10-8A title game to Palm Beach Central 28-14 last week. They have outscored their opponents 276-81 this year. The Gators can use either Lynden Moss or Tyler Kolb at quarterback. Running back Ernest Blackshear should get most of the carries from the backfield. They have a wide receiver core of Myron Levy, Rafael Vasquez and Jabril Jarrett.
