The Wellington Wolverines clash with the Palm Beach Gardens at Mullinax Ford Stadium on Thursday night. It is a District 10-8A game between both schools.
Wellington(2-6) began the season on a bad note as they lost their first four contests. The Wolverines got by John I. Leonard and Forest Hill then fell to Boca Raton and Jupiter.
Palm Beach Gardens(5-1, 2-0) have victories over Suncoast, John I. Leonard, Forest Hill, Jupiter and Park Vista. Their only defeat was to Glades Central by one point. The Gators last played a game two weeks ago. Running back Ernest Blackshear is expected to get most of the carries from the backfield. Quarterback Tyler Kolb looks can connect passes to wide receivers Myron Levy and Rafael Vasquez.
