The Boca Raton Bobcats host the Santaluces Chiefs on Thursday night. It is a non-district contest between both schools.
Santaluces(5-1) is on a five-game winning streak following a loss to Forest Hill in the season opener. They have defeated West Boca Raton, Cardinal Newman, Lake Worth, Spanish River and John I. Leonard. The Chiefs can not look ahead toward their District 11 championship game in Class 8A against Park Vista next week. Their offense will put an emphasis on the rushing attack with running backs Val Carnegie and Brian Coe Jr. while quarterback Kobe Lewis can toss the ball.
Boca Raton(4-3) have won their last two games and scored 31 unanswered points last week to stop Monarch 38-14. The Bobcats have adjusted their offense led by quarterback Andrew Caverly. They have several options in the backfield with running backs Trey Rainey, Stalens Demeus and Tra'Nell Hollis. Ashton Gillotte can make an impact as a defensive end on defense and tight end on offense.
