The Park Vista Cobras visit the Santaluces Chiefs on Friday night. The team that gets the victory will capture the District 11 title in Class 8A.
Park Vista(6-3, 2-0) pulled off a late comeback over Glades Central 21-20 last week. They have shut out their opponents in three of their six victories this season. The Cobras can utilize any situation with a choice of quarterbacks consisting of Gio Thomas and Riley Klaus. They do have a slew of wide receivers with Frantz Derival, Woodlife Alminord, Courtney Carter and Jayden Wilson. Running backs Markel King and Joshua Jean could see some rushing opportunities.
Santaluces(5-2, 2-0) had a five-game winning streak snapped last week by Boca Raton 43-28. They were victorious in their only two games at home this season. Their rushing attack of running backs Val Carnegie and Brian Coe Jr. will be the key of the Chiefs offense. Quarterback Kobe Lewis will attempt to guide the team down the field.
