The Tampa Bay Buccaneers smashed the Miami Dolphins 45-17 at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns.
The Fins got on the scoreboard just under four minutes into the contest. Jason Sanders was able to kick a 23-yard field goal.
Tampa Bay(4-1) responded back with a score and led 7-3 at the 7:04 mark. Brady found St. Thomas Aquinas grad and running back Giovanni Bernard in the middle of the field on a 10-yard touchdown.
Miami(1-4) reclaimed the lead 10-7 with 3:16 left in the first. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett tossed the ball to the left sideline and running back Myles Gaskin stormed in from 24 yards out.
The second quarter belonged to the Bucs as they compiled 17 points. Ryan Sucoop booted a 42-yard field goal 54 seconds into the frame.
Brady found wide receiver Antonio Brown on the left hash marks and he sprinted 62 yards into the end zone at 11:01. The same connection worked again when Brown received a four-yard touchdown pass from Brady in the center of the end zone with 1:48 to go in the second for a 24-10 advantage.
The Dolphins got the only score during the third quarter at the 6:56 mark. Brissett made a swing pass to the left side and Gaskin reached the end zone for a one-yard touchdown.
The Bucs piled it in the fourth quarter with three more touchdowns. Running back Leonard Fournette raced in from five yards away as he rushed through the right side at 14:57.
Wide receiver Mike Evans caught a 34-yard touchdown pass near the right sideline from Brady with 11:49 remaining. Brady completed the scoring as he connected a 22-yard touchdown pass to Evans in the middle of the field with 8:57 remaining and a 45-17 lead.
