The club will carry 14 forwards. It includes Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, Sam Bennett, Sam Reinhart, Anthony Duclair, Joe Thornton, Patric Hornqvist, Carter Verhaeghe, Frank Vatrano, Anton Lundell, Mason Marchment, Owen Tippett, Ryan Lomberg and Eetu Luostarinen
The team will start with seven defensemen. They are Aaron Ekblad, Radko Gudas, MacKenzie Weegar, Brandon Montour, Gustav Forsling, Markus Nutivaara and Olli Juolevi. The goalies are Sergei Bobrovsky and Spencer Knight.
Two of the players on the club have been placed on injured reserve to begin the campaign. Forward Noel Acciari and defenseman Kevin Connauton were placed on that list.
