Glades Central Barely Defeats Dwyer

The Glades Central Raiders knocked off the Dwyer Panthers 14-13 at Effie C. Grear Field in Belle Glade on Thursday night. The rivalry continues between the two Palm Beach County high schools that have usually been competitive over the past 15 years.
The first two quarters belonged to Dwyer(4-3). They were able to compile 13 points during the first half of play.
Glades Central(4-3) closed it to 13-8 on a touchdown and a two-point conversion with 5:31 remaining in the fourth quarter. Wide receiver Robert Luckas made a one-handed catch near the top right corner of the end zone on a nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Garrison Kepley.
The game would come down to the final couple of minutes. Raiders running back Everic Morgan busted through the middle from seven yards away with 2:21 left in the contest for a 14-13 lead.
