Panthers Down Bruins

The Florida Panthers remained undefeated with a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night at FLA Live Arena. The Panthers still have the best record in the National Hockey League and have won 13 consecutive regular season games.
The Panthers are the 14th team in NHL history to win their first seven games to begin a regular season.
Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad played in his 500th NHL game.
Boston(3-2-0) moved out to a 1-0 lead with 9:23 left in the first period. Jack Studnicka poked the puck from Gustav Forsling in the left corner. Charlie Coyle backhanded it from the end wall for a centering pass. It was a double deflection off Sergei Bobrovsky's stick and Owen Tippett into the cage for the score.
Florida(7-0-0) tied it up 1-1 with 5:44 to go in the first. Sam Reinhart backhanded it from the right corner and Mason Marchment placed a snap shot from the right circle past Linus Ullmark for his first goal of the campaign. Reinhart increased his point streak to five games. Forsling was credited with a secondary assist on the play.
In the second period, the Panthers took a 2-1 lead at the 2:06 mark. Forsling made a clearing pass from his own zone and Reinhart carried the puck into the Bruins zone to the right corner. He made a centering pass and Eutu Luostarinen tapped the puck in from the blue paint for his first tally of the year.
The Cats expanded it to 3-1 with 7:20 remaining in the third period. Anthony Duclair skated in from the right circle and snapped a shot from the crease area. Tippett added an empty-net goal from the center-ice circle with 25.4 seconds left to make it 4-1.
