Pacers Speed By Heat

     The Indiana Pacers raced by the Miami Heat 102-91 in their home opener at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday night. It was the first time that the Heat were on the road during the 2021-22 regular season.
     Indiana(1-2) rolled out to a 24-21 lead after the first quarter and led 56-46 at halftime. It was a low-scoring third quarter as Miami(1-1) outscored their opponent 17-8 in the frame and trailed 64-63.       
     Both teams were tied at 86-86 at the end of the fourth quarter and the contest went into overtime. The Pacers rocketed out to an 11-2 run to begin the extra session and picked up the victory. 
     Miami ended up with a pair of double-doubles. Tyler Herro had 30 points and 10 rebounds while Bam Adebayo added 17 points and 16 rebounds. Jimmy Butler contributed 19 points, six assists, six rebounds and three steals. Duncan Robinson was able to place in 14 points. 
     Indiana had a balanced order of scoring in their lineup. Chris Duarte got a team-high 19 points and Domantas Sabonis compiled a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon and Oshae Brissett both drained in 18 points each for the Pacers.
