Miami(4-1) rolled out to a 33-22 lead at the end of one quarter and expanded it to 64-46 at the end of the first half. Charlotte(4-2) slowly cut it to 84-75 after three quarters, however the Heat regained momentum in the final quarter.
Jimmy Butler chalked up a double-double with a game-high 32 points, 14 rebounds and five assists for a double-double. Bam Adebayo piled up big numbers with 26 points and 19 rebounds. Tyler Herro was able to contribute 26 points.
The Hornets got a team-high 23 points from Gordon Hayward. Miles Bridges ended up with 22 points along with eight rebounds.
