Panthers Step Over Flyers

     The Florida Panthers overcame the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night. Florida is off to one of their best regular season starts in franchise history with five consecutive wins. The Panthers had a short one-game road trip and will host the Arizona Coyotes on Monday night. 
     Florida(5-0-0) scored with three minutes remaining in the opening period. Jonathan Huberdeau scored on a power-play goal past Carter Hart. 
     In the second period, Philadelphia(2-1-1) overtook them with two goals on special teams for a 2-1 lead. Claude Giroux lit the lamp with a power-play goal at the 4:23 mark for his third goal this season while Cat Atkinson hustled with an unassisted goal by Sergei Bobrovsky at 10:53 for his fourth goal of the year. The Cats evened it up 2-2  with 27 seconds to go on a tally by Owen Tippett. 
     The third period ended up belonging to the Panthers. Huberdeau broke the tie as he scored a shorthanded goal at the 7:53 mark for his second goal and third point of the contest. Sam Reinhart broke the tie on an empty-net goal with 1:12 remaining in the third.
