Panthers Roll By Avalanche

The Florida Panthers pushed by the Colorado Avalanche 4-1 at FLA Live Arena on Thursday night. The Panthers have their best regular season start after four games in franchise history. Sergei Bobrovksy collected his 300th NHL victory.
Florida(4-0-0) raced out to a 1-0 lead with 5:28 left in the first period. Mason Marchment prevented an icing and got to the puck on the end wall. He centered it to the top of the crease and Sam Reinhart scored his first goal in a Panthers uniform. Anton Lundell chalked up his second assist of the campaign on the play.
Colorado(1-3-0) tied it up 1-1 with 54 seconds to go in the first. Mikko Rantanen scored from close range by Bobrovsky on assists from Samuel Girard and Nathan McKinnon.
In the second period, the Panthers reclaimed the lead 2-1 on the power play at the 9:04 mark. Jonathan Huberdeau passed it out of the offensive zone and Aaron Ekblad sent the puck from the center-ice circle to the right side. Sam Bennett dashed to the middle and then snapped a shot from the high slot for his fourth goal of the season.
The Cats made it 3-1 with 46.1 seconds left in the second. Carter Verhaeghe stole the puck from Gabriel Landeskog on the right-wing boards, skated to the middle of the zone and put in a wrist shot from the slot area by Jonas Johansson. Lundell got an empty-net goal with 1:13 remaining in the third period.
