In the first half, Inter Miami CF made it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Gonzalo Higuain buried a penalty kick with a right-footed shot into the low left corner of the cage.
Atlanta United FC would tie it up 1-1 during the 59th minute. Luiz Araujo blasted a direct kick in the middle of the field with his left foot from 20 yards out. It became 2-1 for Atlanta United FC in the 73rd minute when Josef Martinez scored on a right-footed shot from 15 yards away.
