The Portland Timbers pushed by Inter Miami CF 1-0 on Sunday at Providence Park. It was the first time that Inter Miami CF played in a contest on the west coast since their Major League Soccer franchise regular season debut at Los Angeles Football Club on March 1, 2020.
Inter Miami CF have lost four straight games and been outscored 11-1 in those contests. They have been held scoreless in three of their last four games.
Portland got the only goal during the second half. Jaroslaw Niezgoda scored on a header from close range into the bottom right corner of the cage in the 83rd minute.
