Panthers Fight Off Lightning In Orlando

     The Florida Panthers pushed by the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 at Amway Center in Orlando on Tuesday night in a preseason contest. Both teams will meet three times in a five-day period. 
     Florida took a 1-0 lead at the 5:30 mark of the first period. Frank Vatrano got his fourth goal on the preseason on assists from Mason Marchment and Aaron Ekblad. 
     In the second period, Tampa Bay evened it up with 3:20 left. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare lifted a wrist shot from low left circle over the left shoulder of Spencer Knight. Pat Maroon was credited with an assist on the play. 
     The Panthers regained the lead at 2:23 of the third period.  Owen Tippett stole the puck at the red line, skated in on a breakaway and snapped a shot by Andrei Vasilevskiy. 
     The Cats added another tally for a 3-1 lead at 9:12 of the third. Tippett collected his second goal of the contest with assists going to Jonathan Huberdeau and Sam Bennett. 
     The Lightning added an extra attacker and scored on the power play with 1:15 remaining. Mikhail Sergachev blasted a one-time slap shot from the top of the zone on a feed by Taylor Raddysh from the top left circle.
