Heat Rip By Nets

     The Miami Heat held off the Brooklyn Nets 106-93 at Barclays Center on Wednesday night. Both clubs are considered two of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference this season. 
     Miami(3-1) scored 12 straight points near the end of the opening frame and had a 29-22 advantage at the end of one quarter. Brooklyn(2-3) went on an 22-8 run to finish off the the second quarter and led 51-49 at halftime. The Heat put up 14 consecutive points during the third quarter and pulled ahead 81-74. 
     Jimmy Butler compiled 17 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists for Miami. Bam Adebayo fell short of a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. P.J. Tucker added 15 points while Tyler Herro had 14 points. Dewayne Dedmon contributed 14 points along with nine rebounds. 
     Kevin Durant led the Nets with 21 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. James Harden placed 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Joe Harris was able to drain in 15 points for Brooklyn.
