The 2017-18 NBA Playoffs began for the Miami Heat and they were defeated by the Philadelphia 76ers 130-103 at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night. It was the first appearance by the Heat in the postseason since 2016.
Miami had a 35-29 advantage after the first quarter and stayed ahead 60-56 at halftime. The second half belonged to the Sixers as they outscored the Heat 34-18 in the third to go up 90-78. Philadelphia remained in front by double digits for the remainder of the game.
Kelly Olynyk had 26 points while Goran Dragic added 15 points. James Johnson poured in 13 points while Dwyane Wade dropped in 11. Ben Simmons fell short of triple-double for the 76ers with 17 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds. J.J. Redick had a game-high 28 points and Marco Belinelli scored 25 points.
