The New York Knicks pounded the Miami Heat 122-98 at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The Heat already clinched a playoff spot on Tuesday and remain in first place for the Southeast Division.
New York(28-51) rallied out to a 34-23 lead after one quarter and stayed in front 63-50 at halftime. Miami(43-37) still trailed 96-78 after the third quarter and were down by double digits for almost the entire second half.
The Heat were led by Goran Dragic with 15 points and Hassan Whiteside with 14 points. Damyean Dotson had a game-high 30 points along with 11 rebounds for the Knicks. Trey Burke and Luke Kornet both contributed 17 while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 15 points.
