Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo will play in his 1,000th game in the National Hockey League on Thursday night as they take on the Boston Bruins at BB&T Center. He joins Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy as the only goalies to reach that milestone.
Luongo will become the 322nd player to appear in 1,000 NHL games. Ten previous players have played their 1,000th game in a Florida Panthers uniform.
