The final day of the 2018 NFL Draft happened on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Several players from the University of Miami were announced.
Hurricanes tight end Chris Herndon was taken by the New York Jets in the fourth round. Running back Mark Walton was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals during the fourth round. Walton won three FHSAA Class 4A state championships with the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Florida wide receiver Antonio Callaway was picked by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round. He was a teammate of Walton at Booker T. Washington and helped the school capture three consecutive Class 4A state titles from 2012 to 2014.
The fifth round began with the New York Giants taking University of Miami defensive tackle R.J. McIntosh. He played high school football with the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs. In the sixth round, the New England selected Hurricanes wide receiver Braxton Berrios. Miami defensive tackle Kendrick Norton was taken by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round.
