First place for District 13 in Class 7A will be on the line as the Dwyer Panthers challenge the Forest Hill Falcons at Blum Stadium in Palm Beach Gardens on Friday night. The winner has the inside track to capture the district crown while the other will have to battle it out for a top eight playoff seed in Region 4.
Forest Hill(6-0, 2-0) looks to avenge their loss last year to Dwyer 42-22 which cost them the district title. The Falcons are off to their best regular season start since 1985. They are undefeated and have outscored their opponents 233-68 this season.
Dwyer(6-1, 2-0) comes into this contest on a five-game winning streak following a loss at Atlantic. The Panthers have won all their games this season by at least 27 points. They have outscored their opponents 294-71 this year and outdueled their last three opponents 159-14.
Quarterback Gio Richardson will lead the Panthers offense onto the gridiron. They have numerous options for their rushing attack which consists of running backs James Meeks, Bobby Armes, Ernest Blackshear, Cedric Tucker and Sataria Haliburton. Richardson can spread the ball around to wide receivers Reggie Gadsen, Jamari Gaines, Tanner Franklin, Myron Levy, Connor Nagle and Nick Bingo.
