The Dwyer Panthers host the Royal Palm Wildcats in a Class 7A, District 13 clash on Thursday night at Blum Stadium. Dwyer has a chance to clinch the district title with a victory. They have the tiebreaker on their side with wins over second-place teams Forest Hill and Palm Beach Lakes.
Royal Palm Beach(0-7, 0-3) have not won a game this season and are currently on a 17-game losing streak. The Wildcats have not won a game since November 4, 2016 against Palm Beach Central. They have been outscored 281-45 this year.
The team looks to quarterback Peyton Mainofli to bring the ball down the gridiron as the Wildcats puts a heavy emphasis on their passing game.. His main targets will be wide receivers Ricardo Rosier, Dishon Francis and Latirrious Terry.
Dwyer(7-1, 4-0) took a dominant hold on the district as they knocked off undefeated Forest Hill 40-6 last week. The Panthers have a six-game winning streak following a loss to Atlantic. They have outscored their opponents 334--74 this season.
The Panthers offense is evenly balanced with the run and pass. Quarterback Gio Richardson will dictate the pace for the team. He can toss the ball to wide receivers Tanner Franklin, Reggie Gadsen, Jamari Gaines, Myron Levy, Nick Bingo and Connor Nagle. The rushing attack will depend on running backs Bobby Armes, James Meeks, Ernest Blackshear, Cedric Tucker and Sataria Haliburton.
