The Florida Panthers have announced their 23-man roster for the 2018-19 season. It will be the 25th season for the franchise in the National Hockey League.
Their season opener is on October 6 in Tampa Bay against the Lightning. The Cats will host the Columbus Blue Jackets in their home opener at BB&T Center on October 11.
Forwards on the squad consists of Aleksander Barkov, Nick Bjugstad, Jonathan Huberdeau, Evgenii Dadonov, Vincent Trocheck, Mike Hoffman, Derek MacKenzie, Colton Sceviour, Micheal Haley, Jared McCann, Troy Brouwer, Frank Vatrano, Denis Malgin, and Maxim Mamin
The defensemen core includes Aaron Ekblad, Keith Yandle, Mark Pysyk, Alex Petrovic, Michael Matheson, MacKenzie Weegar and Jacob MacDonald. Goalies for the club will be Roberto Luongo and James Reimer.
Three players will start the season on the injured reserve list. Forward Jamie McGinn, defenseman Borgan Keselvich and defenseman Josh Brown are on that list.
