The Charlotte Hornets buzzed by the Miami Heat 125-113 at Spectrum Center on Tuesday night. The Heat lost their second straight and three of their last five games.
Charlotte(4-4) had a 31-29 edge after one quarter and stayed ahead 65-55 at halftime. Miami(3-4) fell more behind in the third quarter and trailed 92-73. The made a 13-4 run during the fourth and came as close as 11 points with eight minutes left at 96-85.
Dwyane Wade led Miami with 19 points and Josh Richardson had 15 points. Hassan Whiteside delivered a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Kelly Olynyk got 14 points and Rodney McGruder placed 13 points. Tony Parker put together a double-double with a game-high 24 points and 11 assists for Charlotte. Kemba Walker contributed 19 points along with eight assists.
