The Dwyer Panthers visit the Wellington Wolverines on Friday night in a non-district game. Both schools are near the top of their individual districts.
Dwyer(5-1) have dominated in all of their games in Palm Beach County this season with the exception of their only loss at Atlantic. The Panthers are outscoring their opponents 239-64 this year following a 62-0 shutout victory at Olympic Heights last week.
They have a number of options at running back with James Meeks, Ernest Blackshear, Cedric Tucker, Bobby Armes and Sataria Haliburton. Gio Richardson is the Panthers quarterback and he will look for wide receivers Tanner Franklin, Reggie Gadsen, Jamari Gaines, Myron Levy, Nick Bingo and Connor Nagle on pass receptions.
Wellington(4-2) began the regular season with five of their first six games on the road and still have a winning record. They beat Palm Beach Central on the final play of the game last week. It does help that they host three of their last four games which includes their last two district contests.
Running back Marc-Antony Richards is the one to concentrate on for the Wolverines offense. He can also set up as a wide receiver and occasionally run the ball out of the wildcat formation. Look for running back Jadien Durant to also carry the ball for them. The quarterback duties can be split between Austin Wallace and Blake Kendall Jr.
