The Miami Heat lost to the Sacramento Kings 123-113 at American Airlines Arena on Monday night. The Heat had their two-game winning streak stopped.
Miami(3-3) powered out to a 28-17 after one quarter. Sacramento(4-3) rallied with a 24-14 run in the second quarter and tied it 51-51 by halftime. The Kings continued to roll in the second half as the moved ahead 94-83 after three quarters. The Heat gave up 43 points in the third which is the most they gave up to an opponent in a quarter this season. Miami could not cut the margin as the Kings pulled away during the fourth.
The Heat were led by Josh Richardson with a game-high 31 points. Hassan Whiteside compiled a double-double of 16 points and 24 rebounds while Goran Dragic drained in 20 points. Willie Cauley-Stein had a team-high 26 points along with 12 rebounds for the Kings.
