Miami(10-13) got up 1-0 during the first inning. Jesus Aguilar hit a sacrifice fly to right field and Jazz Chisholm Jr. scored.
Milwaukee(14-9) moved ahead in the bottom of the second on a couple of solo home runs. Adrian Houser nailed one on the first pitch and Tyrone Taylor followed with one on a 0-2 pitch.
The Marlins evened it up 2-2 in the top of the fourth. Former Brewer Jesus Aguilar burned his former team with a solo home run to right-center field on a 0-2 count.
The Brewers reclaimed the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth. Taylor grounded out to short for Jackie Bradley Jr. to score.
In the fifth inning, the Fish tied it 3-3. Houser threw a wild pitch with one out and Jon Berti raced in from third.
It was matched again by Milwaukee in the bottom of the frame for a 4-3 lead. Luis Urias doubled to right field for Keston Hiura to cross the plate.
The Brewers got a two-run margin in the sixth inning. Taylor got a base hit into right field and Pablo Reyes reached home.
The Fish continued to stay in the contest during the top of the seventh. Berti blasted a solo homer over the center-field fence on the first pitch and they trailed 5-4.
