Marlins Blank Mets

     The Miami Marlins shut out the New York Mets 3-0 at Citi Field on Saturday. Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom had 14 strikeouts while Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers tied a career-high striking out 10 batters. 
     Miami(2-6) got ahead 1-0 during the second inning. Jazz Chisholm Jr. lifted a solo home run to right field on a 0-2 pitch with two out. 
     New York(2-3) gave up another two runs in the top of the ninth and trailed 3-0. Starling Marte doubled into right field to begin the frame. Jesus Aguilar came up next and knocked in Marte with a base hit to center. Four batters later, Miguel Rojas singled up the middle for Brian Anderson to cross the plate.
