Rays Rally By Marlins

     The Tampa Bay Rays topped the Miami Marlins 6-4 on Friday night at loanDepot park. It was the second contest of a four-game series.  
     Tampa Bay(2-0) got out to a 1-0 lead during the top of the sixth as Austin Meadows connected with a solo home run to right field on a 0-2 pitch. He hit a homer for the second straight game to start the 2021 campaign.  They made it 2-0 when Manuel Margot smacked a solo homer to left-center field on a 1-0 count in the top of the seventh inning. 
     Miami(0-2) finally ended a string of 17 consecutive innings without scoring a run to begin the season. They compiled three runs in the bottom of the seventh to go up 3-2. Corey Dickerson doubled to left field and Jazz Chisholm Jr. crossed the plate. Miguel Rojas came up with a single to right field for Jorge Alfaro abnd Dickerson to score.
     It became 4-2 for the Marlins in the eighth inning. Brian Anderson brought in Magneuris Sierra on a single to the right side of the infield. 
     The Rays came back with four runs during their final turn at-bat in the ninth inning. Anthony Bass blasted a three-run homer to right on a 1-2 pitch with Brandon Lowe and Yandy Diaz on board and overtook Miami. Francisco Mejia later knocked in Margot with a sacrifice fly to right field for a 6-4 lead.
