Predators Roll By Panthers

     The Nashville Predators scooted by the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Monday night at Bridgestone Arena on Monday night. The Panthers begin their final road trip of the 2020-21 regular season. 
     Florida(31-13-5) got their only goal of the contest at the 4:49 mark of the first period and took a 1-0 lead. Sam Bennett collected his eighth goal of the season on assists from Anthony Duclair and Markus Nutivaaara. It was his fourth goal with the Panthers in six games. 
     Nashville(27-21-2) gained the momentum with a power-play goal at 6:30. Mikael Gradlund got his 13th goal of the year with assists by Roman Josi and Calle Jarnkrok. 
     In the second period, the Predators took a 2-1 lead at the 3:35 mark on a Nick Cousins tally. The Preds struck early in the third at 2:39 as former Panther Erik Haula scored and Erik Gudbranson picked up the secondary assist. Yakov Trenin completed the scoring for Nashville to give them a three-goal margin with 10:48 left in the third.
