Cardinals Jump Marlins

     The St. Louis Cardinals knocked off the Miami Marlins 4-1 at loanDepot park on Monday night. It was the first contest of a three-game set between both clubs. 
     St. Louis(2-2) compiled three runs in the first inning. Tommy Edman would score on a passed ball with Tyler O'Neill at-bat. One batter later, Yadier Molina doubled into left field for Paul Goldschmidt and Paul DeJong to score.
     It became a four-run margin for the Cardinals during the top of the fifth. Edman cracked a solo home run to right field on a 2-2 count. 
     Miami(1-3) answered back in the bottom of the fifth and trailed 4-1. Starling Marte hit a sacrifice fly to center field which brought in Jon Berti.
