Former Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM sports host Damon Amendolara, known as D.A., has been named the overnight host for the CBS Sports Radio Network and will begin there in January. He has worked as the evening host at 98.5 The Sports Hub WBZ-FM in Boston since they changed to a sports talk format in August 2009.
Amendolara, a 2001 Syracuse University grad, hosted the D.A. Show and held the late night spot at WQAM from 2008 until early August 2009 along with working as a weekend host. He replaced Ed Kaplan who hosted late nights at the station for over ten years. Kevin Rogers took over the slot when Amendolara left.
Amendolara began his career at as an afternoon host at Sports Radio 770 WWCN-AM in Fort Myers. He moved to Kansas City in 2003 and became an evening host at 610 Sports KCSP-AM. Amendolara was promoted in 2004 to morning host at that station before coming to Miami.
