The Miami Heat finished a six-game road string on Saturday night with a 97-88 victory over the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center. The Heat finished the trip with a 4-2 record. They return home, where they unbeaten this season, on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Chris Bosh led Miami(8-3) with 24 points and nine rebounds in 37 minutes played while LeBron James added 21 points and seven rebounds in 41 minutes. Shane Battier contributed 12 points and Mario Chalmers had 11 points.
Several former Heat players had an impact in the game for Phoenix(4-7) as Michael Beasley popped in 14 points and Jermaine O'Neal got ten points. Shannon Brown poured in 14 points and Goran Dragic added 12 points in the loss.
The Heat scored the first nine points of the game, but the Suns came back to tie the game on a 18-9 spurt during the first quarter. Both teams were tied at 23-23 after one quarter and 52-52 at halftime.
Miami had a 15-point lead during the third quarter, however Phoenix was able to chop the deficit down to two points 90-88 with 2:12 left in the quarter. The Heat finished up strong as they scored the final seven points of the game.
