Heat Late Comeback On Cavs

    The Miami Heat came from behind late in the game on Saturday night as they scored the final nine points for a 110-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at American Airlines Arena. The Cavs held a seven-point lead with 1:58 to go, but they were unable to sustain it. The Heat remained unbeaten at home this season at 6-0 and do not play again until Thursday as they host the San Antonio Spurs.
    Former Cavalier player LeBron James scored 30 points in 40 minutes to spearhead the Heat. Chris Bosh had 23 points and seven rebounds in 37 minutes while Dwyane Wade added 18 points in 34 minutes. Ray Allen came off the bench and added 17 points.
    Cleveland(3-10) had eight players with double-figure scoring in the loss. Alonzo Gee, a William T. Dwyer grad, nailed 12 points in 29 minutes while Jeremy Pargo and Dion Waiters had 16 points each. Anderson Varejao got a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds.
    The Cavaliers led 29-26 after one quarter and had a double-digit lead at halftime 59-48. Miami(10-3) picked up a 23-10 run at the end of the third quarter as they were down 79-77.
    The Heat took the lead for the first time since the second quarter when Allen popped in a three-point shot with 18 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to make it 109-108. He capped the 9-0 spurt with a free throw with two seconds left.
