Plantation-St. Thomas Aquinas Preview

It will be a rematch between two District 15-7A teams as the Plantation Colonels challenge the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders on Friday night in a Class 7A regional semifinal at Brian Piccolo Stadium. The Raiders barely edged out the Colonels 24-20 for first place back on October 26 in Fort Lauderdale. The winner of this game will host a regional final next week against either Dwyer or Boyd Anderson.
Plantation(8-3) got a road victory in the first round last week as they beat American 29-8 at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami. Following their loss to the Raiders, the Colonels have won two of their last three games. Jovante Ham and Antonio Williams look to gain yardage from the backfield. Jewison Dawkins and Solomon Loud will try to get open on passes from Chris Lammons.
St. Thomas Aquinas(9-2) are currently on a six-game winning streak and had no problem last week with a 42-7 home playoff win over Miami Beach. Fred Coppet will lead the running attack for the Raiders along with Deltron Sands and Marquis Magwood. John O'Korn has many receivers to connect with which includes Mark Barr, Corey Holmes, Chandler Dorrell, Jonathan Boozer and Franklyn Richardson.
