Jon Sciambi Stays On Sunday Night Baseball

Former Miami sportscaster Jon Sciambi will continue as the radio play-by-play announcer of Sunday Night Baseball at ESPN Radio. It will be his 13rd year at that position. It is unknown when the 2022 baseball season will begin due to the lockout. He also will be in his second season as the television play-by-play announcer of the Chicago Cubs.
Sciambi, a Boston College grad, joined 560 WQAM-AM as a producer and weekend host. He held the posts of evening host and later midday co-host with original Florida Panthers radio voice Chris Moore.
He became the Florida Panthers radio studio host in 1995 and held the position for two seasons. Sciambi was named the Florida Marlins studio host in 1997. He was elevated to secondary radio play-by-play announcer in 1999 and was there until 2004.
Sciambi returned to South Florida radio airwaves in late 2004 as a midday host on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM. He left that organization in 2005.
