Rachel Nichols Gone From ESPN

     Former local sportswriter Rachel Nichols is no longer with ESPN. She finished up her second tenure with that organization. 
     Nichols started her second reign at ESPN in December 2015. She hosted The Jump program from February 2016 to July 2021. Nichols also was a NBA studio host and sideline reporter on NBA game broadcasts for five years.
     She first gained recognition as a sportswriter at the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel from 1995 to 1996. Nichols shifted to the Washington Post as a sportswriter and was there from 1996 until 2004. She joined ESPN in 2004 and was employed as a television sports reporter and sports columnist for over eight years. 
     Nichols, a Northwestern University grad, became a part of Turner Sports in January 2013. She worked as a sports reporter along with being a NBA sideline reporter and college basketball sideline reporter. Nichols also hosted a CNN show on Friday nights named Unguarded With Rachel Nichols from September 2013 to October 2014.
