New York Times To Buy The Athletic

     The New York Times Company has agreed to buy The Athletic and their websites. The deal is worth around $550 million and is expected to go through in the next couple of months. 

     The Athletic Miami is one of the many affiliates of The Athletic. University of Miami beat writer Manny Navarro is associated with the local organization. Previous sportswriters with them included George Richards, Chris Perkins, Orlando Alzugaray, Shandel Richardson and Andre Fernandez.
