Jose Paneda And Shayne Wright Share NSMA Sportscaster Award

     The National Sports Media Association has named three people to share the 2021 Florida Sportscaster of the Year Award. They are Miami Heat Spanish-language radio play-by-play announcer Jose Paneda, WPBF-TV Channel 25 sports director/weekday sports anchor Shayne Wright and Orlando Magic television play-by-play announcer David Steele. 

     Paneda has been the Spanish radio voice of the Miami Heat since their second season as an NBA franchise in 1989-90. He is one of the longest Spanish-language broadcasters in the National Basketball Association. 

     WPBF-TV Channel 25 in West Palm Beach relaunched their sports department last July after not having it for over a decade. Wright was shifted from the news anchor and news reporter positions to the post of sports director and weekday sports anchor.
