It was a bit of a surprise on Friday night during the home opener of the Florida Panthers that Frank Forte would no longer be the studio host or rinkside reporter for Panthers home games on Fox Sports Florida. Forte will likely remain as a producer and host of Panthers Weekly. Allison Williams previously revealed on October 1 that she was leaving her studio host position after five seasons of covering the team.
Drew Goldfarb, who recently left WTPA-TV in Tupelo on September 22, will be the only Fox Sports Florida studio host for home games this season as he will work with play-by-play announcer Steve Goldstein and game analyst Bill Lindsay. Goldstein has done the telecasts since 2007-08 while Lindsay joined prior to the 2009-10 season.
