Will Manso will replace Jorge Sedano as the Miami Heat studio host for road broadcasts on Sun Sports this season. His first broadcast will be this Wednesday night when the Heat play at the Philadelphia 76ers. Manso will remain the sports director and lead sports anchor at WPLG-TV Channel 10 in Miami. Jason Jackson will again have the studio host role for home games and work as a sideline reporter for Heat road games. He has been the Heat studio host since the 2003-04 season.
Sedano held the studio host role on away games for one season from August 2012 until this past July. He left that position along with his program director duties and afternoon host shift at Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM for an evening co-host position on ESPN Radio which began in September.
Manso, a University of Miami grad, has been with WPLG-TV since 1999 as a sports anchor. He was elevated to the sports director position in 2007 when longtime sportscaster Jimmy Cefalo left that station.
