Lake Worth At West Boca Raton Preview

The West Boca Raton Bulls look to continue their winning ways as they host the Lake Worth Trojans on Friday night in a District 13-7A game. The Bulls have been the surprise team in south Palm Beach County this season with new head coach Alphonso Moran at the helm.
West Boca Raton(6-2, 5-0) lost two of their first three games this season before they won five straight district games and clinched a postseason spot. The Bulls had district victories over Royal Palm Beach 20-6, Forest Hill 34-0, Palm Beach Lakes 44-15, Olympic Heights 33-0 and defending District 13-7A champion Atlantic 45-13. They have outscored their opponents 176-34 in the last five weeks and will visit the Dwyer Panthers for the district title next week.
The Bulls has a balanced attack on offense with quarterback Paul Columbo as the centerpiece. Running back Jerrod Ferguson will see some of the carries from the backfield for the team. Columbo will seek wide receivers Antonio Cartagena and Aaron Robinson for receptions.
Lake Worth(3-5, 2-3) have been in the middle of the pack throughout the regular season. The Trojans have lost three of their last four games which included a home loss last week to Dwyer 54-3.
Quarterback Craig Wells can be a threat any time in the backfield for the Trojans. In Palm Beach County, he is second in passing yards and pass completions along with being first in pass attempts. James Jones, one of the top wide receivers in the region, will be the primary target downfield along with Malik Williams. Running back Donte Fils-Aime, who is in the top five locally with rushing yards and rushing attempts, will get most of the handoffs for Lake Worth.
